Welcome to Hemington Natural Burial. Our goal is to maintain a peaceful, natural environment for reflection and remembrance. To ensure the tranquillity and ecological integrity of this special place, we kindly ask all visitors to follow these guidelines:

Respect the Natural Environment

Please do not pick flowers, disturb wildlife, or alter any part of the landscape.

Only biodegradable items are permitted on-site. Non-biodegradable materials, such as plastic, should not be left behind.

Planting, Memorials and Decoration

Planting of trees, shrubs, flowers, bulbs or seeds are only allowed with prior permission from our management team to preserve the natural balance of the site.

Memorial items must be arranged directly with Hemington Natural Burial.

It is the serene and natural environment that attracts people to Natural Burial as such we do not allow the hanging of decorations in trees and the leaving of ornaments (even biodegradeable) on graves.

Memorials and decorations which are not permitted will be removed routinely and stored for 1 month at the Hemington Natural Burial Ground Office where they will be available to collect.

Quiet Reflection

Please keep noise to a minimum and be mindful of other visitors to the burial ground.

Dog Policy

Well-behaved dogs are welcome but must be kept on a lead at all times.

Owners are responsible for cleaning up after their pets.

Vehicle Access and Parking

Parking is only permitted within the parking area.

Cars are parked at the owners risk.

Waste and Litter

We ask wherever possible for you to take your litter home with you or place it in the bins provided.

Photography

Photography for personal use is permitted, but please respect the privacy of others. Professional photography requires prior approval.

Visiting Hours

The site is open to visitors during daylight hours. Please do not visit outside these times.

Prohibited Activities

No camping, fires (including candles), or barbecues are allowed.

Paths are for pedestrians and wheelchairs only, we ask that bicycles, scooters etc are not used beyond the parking area.

The release of balloons, lanterns, or non-native species (e.g., plants or animals) is strictly prohibited.

Reporting Concerns

If you notice any issues or have concerns during your visit, please contact a member of our team.

Burials
-
Signage will be placed to indicate days that burials will be taking place. We would ask that you be respectful of this and where possible choose to visit outside of these times.

If you do choose to visit during a burial please note that priority for parking will be given to burial guests.
